Nestled in the heart of Warrendale, PA, Mitch's Barbeque Restaurant & Catering is a true sanctuary for barbecue aficionados and adventurous food lovers alike. This locally treasured spot masterfully blends traditional American smoked meats with inventive, flavor-packed dishes that elevate classic BBQ to an entirely new level.
At Mitch’s, the menu is a celebration of smoky, tender meats and bold, comforting sides. Fans rave about the smoked brisket—so succulent and richly flavored that it requires no extra sauce to impress. The brisket sandwich with onions and peppers offers a hearty, satisfying bite, while the pork belly steamed buns provide a delightful fusion twist, pairing soft, pillowy buns with perfectly smoked pork belly that melts in your mouth.
The creative edge of Mitch’s shines with standout offerings like the pork belly ramen. Unlike traditional Asian ramen, this bowl is infused with the smoky essence of Mitch’s signature meats, resulting in a uniquely savory and deeply satisfying dish that delights the senses. Equally seductive are the beef brisket tacos and pork tacos, which bring a vibrant, smoky zest to every bite, complemented perfectly by sides such as Mexican street corn and kimchi fried rice that add layers of texture and flavor.
The comforting sides here deserve a spotlight of their own—from the creamy, indulgent brisket and mac and cheese to the subtly sweet sweet potato cornbread and refreshing side salads. Seasonal specials such as meaty mac ‘n cheese and seasoned French fries add tempting variety for return visitors who crave new takes on BBQ classics.
What truly sets Mitch’s apart, beyond the enticing flavors, is its warm, no-frills atmosphere combined with an attentive, knowledgeable staff that takes pride in ensuring each guest’s visit is exceptional. Whether it's a quick lunch or a relaxed evening of comfort food paired with a thoughtfully suggested craft beer, the experience is casual, genuine, and spirited. Patrons consistently share how the team’s friendliness and service elevate the meal, offering recommendations and checking in to maximize enjoyment.
Regulars – from sports fans to local families – flock to Mitch’s not just for the incredible smokiness and mouthwatering dishes but also for the restaurant’s authentic essence and sense of community. As one enthusiastic diner put it, this is “old school BBQ that’s so legit you might find yourself standing in line alongside NFL, MLB, and NHL players,” a testament to the unbeatable reputation Mitch’s has earned.
Whether you’re drawn by the delicate textures of the pork rinds, the hearty flavor of the chicken thigh, or the refreshing burst of the strawberry basil sorbet, Mitch's Barbeque promises a smoky, soulful feast that makes every visit feel special and worth savoring.
In a world filled with fleeting food trends, Mitch's Barbeque stands steadfast as a beacon of true barbecue craftsmanship with a welcoming vibe that invites you to settle in, dig deep, and relish every bite.
Amazing place. One of those local hidden gems that should be visited. Delicious food! Anything smoked in here you’ll love. They will make sure you enjoy your visit by asking questions, checking how your food is and suggesting beers/ food you may like. Their Ramen is good, but it’s not a typical Asian ramen since they add a smoked meat in the bowl. It gives it this unique smoky flavor. Delicious overall and meat cuts are huge! Tacos will fill you up! Very inexpensive place worth a visit! Then you everyone working here!!!
I always have good time at Mitch’s. Dog friendly restaurants with friendly staff, fast service and delicious food! Will admit price is on the higher side for me because I usually order a protein + 2 sides, or something big (cuz it’s so good).
Amazing brisket and Mac n cheese. Love the hardworking staff. This isn't a fancy place. Go for the food, don't worry about decor etc. Worth the trip every time.
The food was so terrible. I’m gonna have to go back their time and time again to continue to eat it. Just kidding. It was excellent. The smoked flavor was so good on the chicken that you didn’t need to add any sauce. I’ve passed that place hundreds of times without stopping. Now I’m gonna have to stop hundreds of times to continue trying all the great food and options they have. The barbecued baked beans were delicious also and a great side for the smoked chicken thighs. If you liked smoked meat, you have to stop. The prices are very reasonable considered to a lot of places that sell smoked meats. Give them a try you will not be disappointed!
Mitch's is 100% old school BBQ that's so legit that you will stand in line with NFL, MLB and NHL players while you await your food. I think this family only does this to subsidize their race car habit, but the brisket sandwich is by far the best I've ever encountered outside of Texas. The food is so good that I almost don't mind wacky intermittent closures during race season
Had a great BBQ experience at Micje’s BBQ in Warrendale on a busy Friday evening with a large group of 16. The place was a bit tight and packed, and parking was a little tricky due to the rush, but the food and service made it all worth it. We tried the brisket, spicy pork sausage (which was my favorite, but unfortunately, they ran out quickly), ramen with pork belly, chicken wings, and more. Everything was flavorful and well-cooked. They also serve cold beer, which paired perfectly with the BBQ. Since our group was large, they accommodated us on the second floor, giving us a private space to enjoy our meal and drinks at a relaxed pace, even though the area was a bit tight. We also got to meet the owner, who was incredibly nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot for a great BBQ meat experience around Cranberry!
We ordered pretty much the entire menu. Everything was good. The ramen and the pork rinds were amazing, and the pork sandwich was a killer deal. They were very busy yet everyone was super friendly and in good spirits. Super happy came and we will come again.
i am suprised that the noodle and kimchi are on the menu here. i tried the noodle bowl with pork belly and it was yummy. if you don't like greesy food then order other protein. ribs are ok.
